## The Challenge

With over 20 independent cell owners using a wide range of internal and third-party systems to administer insurance policies and claims, the insurer faced increasing difficulty in collecting reliable data and producing consistent reports. Unique systems, manual interventions, and inconsistent processes were impacting both operational efficiency and regulatory reporting accuracy.

## Our Solution

We worked closely with the cell captive's leadership and operational teams to deliver a cloud-based, centralised solution underpinned by a robust data warehouse and automated ETL processes. The system includes automated ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple decentralised sources, significantly reducing manual effort and errors. A centralised data warehouse serves as a single source of truth for IFRS 17 compliance, regulatory reporting, and management insights. An intuitive user interface allows internal teams to easily navigate and interact with the data, while automated report generation ensures leadership teams receive timely, reliable insights.

## The Results

The cell captive achieved consistent reporting across all stakeholders, with different reports now aligned based on a common underlying dataset, removing discrepancies and confusion. Renewed confidence in data quality through automated validation and processing checks ensures information used for analysis and regulatory submissions is complete and reliable. Automated ETL processes and centralised reporting significantly reduced time spent on manual data cleansing and report preparation, enabling faster, data-driven decisions.

With a strong foundation in place, the cell captive is now exploring further opportunities including actuarial analyses such as pricing, reserving, and experience studies, as well as enhanced business intelligence solutions.
